ICAN developed an international strategy to increase the level of government support for a Nuclear Weapons Convention at the Non-Proliferation Treaty review conference in New York in May 2010. The role of the project coordinator was to liaise with ICAN partners around the world and direct with governments represented at the United Nations in New York. The final document of the review conference referenced a Nuclear Weapons Convention for the first time.
