ICAN warns of dangers in uranium sales to India
Media Statement, 19 January, 2011: The International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN) Australia has warned that the visit of India Foreign Minister S.M Krisna should not lead to opening Australian uranium sales to India.
“Krisna has indicated that uranium sales will be on the agenda as he meets with Foreign Minister Kevin Rudd and Resources Minister Martin Ferguson today,” said ICAN Australia Chair Associate Professor Tilman Ruff.
