Mayors for Peace Australia

Past Project

Mayors for Peace is a global network of mayors working for the total abolition of nuclear weapons. ICAN partnered with the Australian Conservation Foundation from January to June 2010 to promote the network in Australia. One of the objectives was to display a nuclear disarmament exhibition in local council chambers around Australia. During this period, the Australian membership of the network increased from 55 to 70 councils.
